Hi, I'm Stevie. You might know me now as the gorgeous, well-groomed, incredibly charming face of StevieLicksx®. But once upon a time, I was just a tiny, wobbly, big-eared pup trying to figure out this big wide world. This is my story — in my own words.
After all the excitement of meeting Mum — the sniffing, the wiggling, the big eyes, the melting — I did what any sensible puppy would do. I curled up on her lap in the car, tucked into my brand new fluffy bed, and slept the entire way home. I didn't even make it out of the car park before I was out cold. It was, objectively, the best nap of my life.
This was me, what a cutie...woof woof x

The Day Everything Changed 🐾
I remember it like it was yesterday (okay, I don't really — I was very small and mostly thinking about milk and naps). But Mum tells me the story all the time, so I feel like I was there. Which I was. Obviously.
One day, this human walked in. She smelled like kindness and something faintly like coffee. She looked at me with these big eyes and I thought, yep, she's mine. I did a little wiggle. She melted. Classic.
What Mum Did Right From Day One 🐶
Here's the thing about being a new pup — everything is overwhelming. The sounds, the smells, the sheer number of things to chew. But Mum was patient. Like, really patient. Here's what she did that made all the difference:
- She gave me a safe space. A cosy little bed that smelled like her. I may have chewed one corner. She forgave me.
- She learned what I needed. Not just food and walks (though those are very important, please never skip walks), but the right food. She did her research. She asked questions. She cared about what was actually going into my little body.
- She kept me clean and comfortable. Baths were... a journey. But she was gentle, and she used the good stuff. My coat? Immaculate. My paws? Moisturised. My ears?
- She took me to the vet. I did not enjoy this. But I understand now it was love.
- She talked to me. All the time. About everything. I didn't understand most of it, but the tone was warm and I felt safe, so I listened anyway. And after every chat, she'd wrap me up in my favourite blanket and I'd feel the cosiest, safest little pup in the whole world — just like snuggling into the Dreamy Lilac Sleeping Bag. Pure heaven.
The Things I Taught Her 🐕
Look, it wasn't all one way. I had things to teach too.
- Slow down. Sniff things. The world is more interesting at ground level.
- Naps are not lazy — they are essential.
- Unconditional love is the most powerful thing in the universe.
- Always greet the people you love like you haven't seen them in years, even if it's been four minutes.
Growing Up Stevie 🌟
As I grew from a wobbly little pup into the distinguished, beautiful dog you see today, Mum grew too. She became the kind of pet parent who reads labels, asks questions, and genuinely thinks about my wellbeing — not just my cuteness (though she does appreciate that too).
That's actually why StevieLicksx® exists. Because Mum wanted the best for me, and she couldn't always find it. So she searched high and low for me. And now, for all the other dogs out there who deserve to be looked after just as well.
A Note From Baby Stevie to All the New Pups Out There 🐾
If you're a new puppy reading this (hi, welcome, the world is great, please don't eat shoes) — you're going to be okay. Find your human. Let them love you. Be patient with them; they're learning too.
And if you're a new pet parent — you've got this. The fact that you're here, reading this, already means you care. That's the most important thing.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have a sunny patch of floor to lie in and approximately three toys to ignore in favour of a sock.
Licks and tail wags,
Baby Stevie 🐾
